It begins with local fruit…..

Our Signature Ethel’s Dry Cider is the base for everything we make. We strive to use locally sourced apples and other locally grown fruit.

Meet Karen and Jeff Lees

We welcome you to our cidery. We strive to create fresh new quality cider creations. All of our ciders are gluten free. We use only the freshest ingredients.

Karen, born and raised in Fergus Falls, MN met Jeff in Colorado, though they were married at her parents home on Ten Mile Lake in Dalton, MN. Jeff fell in love with the lakes area and dreamt of one day living on a lake in Otter Tail County.

Once their two children finished their studies and started their lives, Karen and Jeff sold their successful optical business after finding their perfect lot on Lake Ethel. They wanted a tasting room to offer good drinks, fun atmosphere, and conversation. Enter 1910 Sip House! The lot once had an old dairy barn with 1910 painted on the loft door. The barn had to come down due to its dilapidated state (though much of the wood was reused and the famous 1910 door hangs inside the Sip House).

“1910 Sip House is the place to chill by a fire, listen to some music and sip some extraordinaire hard cider. I highly recommend it after being there last weekend for the open house. It’s a must do!”

“The beverages were all fabulous. The hospitality was fabulous. I would highly recommend 1910 Sip House
