We are writing to inform you that between May 1, and November 1, we will not be allowing children under the age of 16 inside and outside our cider tasting room. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we believe that this is the best decision for the safety of our guests and employees.
We have a number of factors that led us to this decision, including:
Our property is not child-friendly. We do not have a playground, and there are a number of hazards on the property, including a lake, an old silo, vegetable gardens, electric fences, a busy road and parking lot. We have found unattended children on the dock possibly avoiding a serious accident.
Our cider tasting room is very busy during our peak season. We often have large crowds, and it can be difficult to keep track of children.
We serve alcohol in our cider tasting room. Alcohol is a dangerous substance for children, and we do not want to take any risks.
We understand that this may be disappointing for some of our guests, but we hope that you will understand our reasons for making this decision. We appreciate your continued support.
